Starcrafters’ dragons only come in these colors. Pictures show color range possibilities.
Gold- Golds are the largest (40-45 feet in length) and are the queens of the dragons. Their personalities are generally bossy, strong-willed, and intelligent. They do not chew firestone. They rise to mate starting between the ages of 2-3 Turns and mate twice a Turn. Clutches are usually between 15-30 Eggs. They are usually flown by bronzes. The longer and higher the flight the better the clutch. The women who ride them are given the title ‘lady’ and are the highest ranking dragonriders. The rider of the Senior Queen is titled the Exarchon, the leader of the Starcraft and deals with all inter-Starhold relations. Queens only Impress to females.
Bronzes- These dragons are the most likely to catch Queens. Bronzes are the largest of the male dragons (35- 40 feet), and among the fighting dragons, they have the greatest staying power. They are brave, stern, and commanding. The rider of the bronze which catches the Senior Queen is the Archon of Dragon Starhold and is responsible for the postings and discipline of the Starcrafters. Bronzes only Impress males.
Brown- Browns (30-35 feet) are not quite as big and powerful as bronzes, though the largest sometimes can catch Queens. They are generally faithful, steady, and paternal, and are considered good dragons for leadership roles. They usually Impress to males, but rarely choose females.
Blue- Blues do not have nearly the stamina of a bronze or brown, but they are much more manuverable and are better at acrobatics. They are medium sized (about 25-30 feet) and though they can’t hope to catch a Queen, they can certainly catch a smaller female. Blues are considered the best dragons for sensing potential in novices because of their intuition and empathy, but the talent is rarely used. They Impress to either gender.
Green-,Greens are also female, but are not generally permitted to clutch. They rise to mate every three months but their chewing of firestone leaves them sterile, and since their clutches contain few of the larger colors, it isn’t consodered worthwhile to allow them to reproduce.. Greens are incredibly mobile and nimble being rather small (20-25 feet), but their stamina is somewhat lacking. They Impress to either gender, but have a reputation for being flirtatious, jealous, and frivolous.
Only dragons born at Astraea will show these colors. More to be added as they are discovered!
Copper- Copper dragons are the most intelligent of all dragon colors, and are the only dragons able to retain memories for more than a few days. In fact, copper dragons pass on their memories to their copper daughters, theoretically making each generation of Coppers smarter. They are daring and independent, some people hypothesizing that they could exist without a rider. Between 37 to 42 feet in length, they are between gold and bronze in size. They are usually flown by bronzes but browns have a somewhat better chance than with Golds. They reach maturity at the age of eighteen months and rise twice a Turn with clutches between 10-20 Eggs.
